NOVICE PROGRAM

Novice Program (Adult)

The Novice Program is open to first year rowers who have completed the Learn-to-Row levels 1 and 2 courses. The program is also accepting of experienced rowers who may have been away from the sport for a while and looking to take steps to come back to rowing.

The program begins in October running until the end of the month the following year, thirteen months in total. Participants are coached on skill development, fitness, crew rowing, competitive racing and take part in local and regional regatta's for both disciplines of sweep and sculling.

The goal is to produce well-rounded competent rowers who have experienced racing at regattas. Our by-product, btw, is to have a ton of fun along the way.

Intake starts the first week of October and runs through to the end of November; space is limited so if you have an interest and want to join us for a year of excitement, discovery and a lot of good times then please contact the VRC Rowing Coordinator at row@vancouverrowingclub.ca or (604) 687-3414; alternatively contact the coaches or visit us on the dock during our practice times.
